She's the former Married At First Sight star best known for being pot-stirrer-in-chief of the boys' night scandal. And although she left MAFS a single lady, Charlene Perera has only kind words for the controversial social experiment.Writing for Nine Honey, the 33-year-old offered advice to the next batch of reality TV stars - even telling applicants to 'trust the experts' despite their awful track record.'I literally didn't give it two thoughts before I put my application in,' she said. Advising applicants not to overthink it by worrying about their job, children or pets, Charlene revealed she just signed up on a whim and thought, 'Why the hell not?'Opening up about her dating past, she explained that what really motivated her to apply was her lack of success with dating apps. 'I was over it. I mean, how many dates do I have to go on with people wearing excess faux fur before I realise that this is not going to work out for me?' she added.'So put your faith in someone else's hands, what do you have to lose?' Charlene also reassured potential applicants that they don't need to worry about a public backlash so long as they are authentically themselves. 'If you try to pretend you are someone you aren’t then how on earth will all the testing and the experts ever find your perfect match?' she said.Charlene and 'ex-husband' Patrick announced their separation last month.Despite not working out romantically, they assured MAFS fans they would remain friends for life.
